See What My Students Are Saying

Prior to becoming licensed to sell real estate in North Carolina, I worked as Assistant Director of facilities at Franklin and Marshall College (PA), as Vice President of Information Technology at Willow Valley Heathcare and Retirement Community (PA), and as Director of Information Technology at TogetherSoft Corporation (Raleigh).  As a result, I bring years of practical and management experience to the classroom.

I have managed construction projects ranging from log homes, to a dormitory, to a library science building, to a large performing arts facility. I have a reputation of being a problem solver, an excellent communicator, teacher, trainer, a successful project manager and as someone who gets things done while working well with everyone.

By the way, I’ve managed sewage treatment facilities and also deployed complex IT systems.  I don’t consider any question or field of inquiry as inconsequential.  If you have the question, I do my best to get you a reliable answer that is easy to understand.

I consider myself a player-coach.  That means that not only am I an approved NCREC real estate instructor, but I am also an active Realtor® who lists and sells real estate in the Triangle Area of North Carolina.  I practice daily what I’m teaching and am continually learning new applications and information in our rapidly changing market place.

Technology has dramatically impacted our profession.  My experience in the field of technology contributes to my understanding and communication of the technological marketplace and also reflects into innovative practices in my classroom.

I am licensed by the National Mortgage License System (NMLS) as an approved instructor for mortgage pre-licensing and continuing education.  In fact, I practiced as a loan officer during two of the most difficult years that the industry has ever seen (2009-2011).  I found I could not successfully sell real estate, practice lending, and teach both, so I stepped out of the practice of lending and only represent it as an instructor.

Throughout my careers I have taught and presented material pertinent to my field and in other areas as well. I was formally trained in public speaking in the Dale Carnegie system and more recently at Toastmasters.  Since I love to teach, I joined Legacy Real Estate School in 2008 and recently started teaching CE classes in other venues as well.

Join me at one of my upcoming classes and I guarantee I will deliver the material in an innovative and informative way so that you can enjoy meeting your real estate requirements and also understand and introduce better practices into your business.
